Today, Jazz 89.5 is celebrating the birthday of guitar virtuoso Herb Ellis. He was a member of the Oscar Peterson Trio for 5 years during the 1950's. Ellis created the Great Guitars with fellow jazz guitarists Barney Kessel and Charlie Byrd.
